I have stripped axles that are stuck in yoyos and they still work. What is so bad about a stripped axles?

if you strip the axle and it’s not stuck in the yoyo

What cayce said. I have a kid at club that gave me his shutter to retap between meets cause it won’t screw together anymore.

Sometimes they strip and just spin in the like where the axle goes and never tighten

That’s the worse. Like the nut in the yoyo or the plastic/aluminum holding the nut stripped not the bolt it’s self

This is called being Cross-threaded. When the threads are misaligned but tightened anyways. When you strip it…you remove the threads entirely and the screw no longer has anything to bite into. Very bad…

You can salvage a yoyo with messed up threads though it will add vibe. (Better than no yoyo)

What I did when my yoyo stripped I put it on the surgery table and kinda un alived it. Might loose my license :l
