anyone know if this reminds you of Cotton?

i thought it was Nylon, but it completely reminds me of Cotton!

Light a bit on fire if it melts it’s nylon I it burns it’s cotton

the ends caught on fire for a few seconds, but afterwards they felt hard, and plastic-y.

yeah I just tie mine and then 20 min later I come back I make sure there as tight as I can get them

Made strings for the first time and I think it turned out pretty well. I used spun polyester

50/50 Nylon-Poly blend. I pre-twisted one wrap of nylon with one wrap of poly. Then I combined four of these pre-twisted sets before folding over and reversing the twist to finish.

It’s an interesting texture with a nice bounce.

Looks pretty thick! How are the slacks/whips?

It is fairly thick and a hair snaggy. Whips aren’t great with it, but I’m not great at whips either (wow I’m really selling it, aren’t I?).

It has that nice nylon “give” without being extra slippery. I think the extra twisting gives it a more textured/gritty feel compared to the same thing without extra twists.

I want to try it again with less torsion in the four preliminary twists.
