I’m 5’5 and use string about a inch above my belly button.

I think string length is relative. Is someone who is 6’ is using a string that is belly button length, he’s using a short or medium string. If a ten year old uses the same string, it’s considered long.

I only did “as advised”, bellybutton-length.

But I set a yoyo for my daughter (7yo), so with a very short string. And I find it difficult to give it enough spin, does not make me want to try shorter on my own yoyos.
