The game is called the Galactic Pistol Alliance, or GPA. It’s an interesting format which mashes together IDPA, USPSA, and outlaw. It’s funny as their motto is “half the rules - twice the fun”, however this really screws people up that are used to shooting USPSA or IDPA. But it is a lot of fun. It’s IDPA in a way of being time plus format, so it uses IDPA targets, and slicing the pie. But it’s USPSA as you can shoot open targets as one wishes, no concealment, drop mags are ok. Par times are FAST, talking GM class fast.
I’m running the Springfield 1911DS Prodigy Commander. This thing is a BEAST and runs like a madman. It’s topped with a Deltapoint Pro. I do all the work on my guns and this action managed to come out with a crispy and tactile 1lb 10oz trigger. It’s a beautiful thing man.
