@TryCatchThrow here’s the bigger Trompo. It just arrived today. I’m using the aluminum YYF tip. Overall the top is tall but the weight is low enough that it doesn’t just stand right up when you speed up the spin so it’s a really good well rounded performer!!
I’m glad you’re enjoying! The design is mostly just a scale up of the smaller one. I made some small adjustments for hardware fit and with weight placement.
If anyone is in the NYC area tomorrow I’m going to the One Throw contest and bringing printed tops and throws to try.
@TryCatchThrow , I love these 3D printed tops so much, I used it to try for my ITSA Spintastics freestyle patch. Here’s my video submission. Wish me luck.
It’s not like a competition freestyle. The requirements are that it must contain at least 6 tricks, two of which must be a regen trick, and the video must be over 60 seconds. I believe this fills the requirements. But since I’m still a newbie it was still difficult for me to get a clean run with no mistakes, even though I have more difficult tricks than these.
For the past 3 days I’ve just been trying to get a little video of me doing almost anything at all. I keep having to dumb down my combos because apparently I forgot how to catch
This took entirely too long to record.
Looking good. I mean, the socks are a little different, but great catches!
My experience is that the regeneration and catch genies are on rotation, and sometimes they are nowhere around me!
Gonna make it a goal of mine to start learning some real string tricks this year, I kinda got the top basics down and then stopped playing. I’ve been feeling motivated lately though especially now that the weather is warming up.
