Northern Illinois. I just got a telescope, learning how to use it still, couldn’t get it lined up right so I put the filter on my phone.
I cannot believe I totally missed it just because I was working on a yoyo combo to film at home lmao
My girlfriend came back and say “have you seen the eclipse?” than I remember it was today, oh well it happen only once in a million years lmao
It can be fairly difficult to manually locate the Sun with a telescope by looking through the eyepiece. The trick is to use the shadow of the telescope. Once the shadow is at its smallest you’ll be pointed right at it without even looking through the eye piece.
