Sickburn Yo-Yo Workshop Ultem Fixie

Unresponsive ultem slim throw would be fire!

This is off topic (kind of), but a Swiss army knife type of yoyo, that had a means of storing things securely on it so that they wouldn’t fall out, with an Ultem outer shell, that’s doable but I really hope there would never be a scenario where I’d have to rely upon it

Lighting it on fire might not be too extreme. @DocPop has a pretty funny story about a kid who’s yoyo “caught on fire” and he tried to return it :joy: Don’t need anymore angry moms.

Please sign me up for one of these when they become available. I seems the perfect yoyo to celebrate my return to everydayness. Thanks!

I’m willing to pay for a proto to be a testor and provide feedback!

Appreciate that! For v1 I plan on just doing the PIF but, if we collectively begin to feel the gap is too wide and needs narrowing I am considering letting a few folks pay for a v2 proto to help reduce costs on the second proto run.

After further experimentation Serum is my favorite in it. Even the serum thin plays like a champ. Still gotta do the 2 drops of lube on the end of the string, and then it just kicks butt. Plays similar to the ziplines skyline that I had liked in it but a little zippier.

Love that idea! You’re the best!

Summer heat triggered a nasty flare up for me so I won’t be repeating this test any time soon but for posterity all afternoon on my car dashboard in the summer.

At 50 Celsius we are a full 167 Celsius below the temperature at which Ultem will start to soften and deform.
