Sickburn Yo-Yo Workshop Ultem Fixie

This is such a cool project. Put me down for one if you do a run.

i think you should name it The Honeypot cuz it reminds me of honeypot ants… not that you asked :face_with_peeking_eye:

Another great one.

I love all the name suggestions. I plan to gather them all up and also collect one from everyone who tries it out with the PIF.

The shop confirmed they can clean them all for me!

Would love to try one of these! I’ve been kind of obsessed with finding the perfect unresponsive EDC the last few years. But I feel like this project takes that concept to the extreme. Love it.

Oh and I wouldn’t mind if it came dirty. In fact I wouldn’t mind if you didn’t even box it up—just stick the shipping label right on it. It’s made to take a beating right?

Some durability testing today. Repeatedly throwing it into my concrete basement floor and granite kitchen floor.

First pic is “dings” second pic is after gently rubbing the scuff marks with my thumb.

What are you talking about?

I think the only way to truly test this yoyo’s durability is to pit it against a Nokia phone

That’s amazing. I so want in when you are ready!

So you’ve incorporated a little of your DNA in there as well to fill the gaps…..just like in Jurassic Park! I appreciate the dedication.

I guess if a PIF does happen I’ll give it a shot. I have never thrown a fixie, so feel free to ignore me, but I like the idea of a yoyo that won’t suffer from pleb lever errors, lol

Now run it over with a car and toss it in a freezer or leave it on the dash of a car in this wicked heatwave

Heck beat it with a hammer a few times why not

Also I think it needs a bath in salt water for science

Nah send it to the preschool I work at. Many brave yo-yos have lost their life here

I’m gonna be brave and run one through the dishwasher next time I do a load of dishes. Heat, aggressive soap, etc.

Washing machine would probably be better as that’s more likely to happen

Just to be a jerk to it I put it in with the spoons and forks so a bunch of metal is gonna be bashing into it in hot water for the next 2 hours.
