Now I do have a design I’m working on for a bearing Ultem throw that would accept an Ultem blank.

I just need to make some adjustments before I prototype it to make sure I’m absorbing shock, possibly just some o-rings in the guts design I’m working on.

This is my theoretical shock absorbing bearing guts design. Teflon has incredible shock absorbing powers and on the hex adapter I added an o-ring notch to avoid applying excess pressure to the plastic.

I’m feeling a little burnt after the great Ultem disaster of 2026 so I will be seeing how the reworked fixies hold up before I drop money on protos of this.

So that’s an option possibly. Like I have a design for a delrin No Jive compatible that fits 19 mm pads that I’m playing around with. It could maybe be done in Ultem, with the o-ring TK style hardware

Thanks! I’m trying to take the weird stuff energy I had for my 3d prints and basically just do stuff I couldn’t 3d print via machine shop. I only want to make yo-yos I would want to play with and I want to play with weird stuff.

Some of my prototype designs are stuff I am pumped to play with and probably wouldn’t even sell much lol so some stuff may end up destined to be just a prototype run to give me a fun toy. Like The Hat I’m not sure many folks beyond you and me would want to buy one of those.

Once I get this batch in and confirm no string cutters or other issues I’ll be a lot more comfortable with preorders for metal and will probably just run pre order buy ins on things that might not be popular that way if only like 5 people sign up I’m not sitting on 45 Oddjob’s Murder Hat yo-yos.

Okay folks, my name is Andy and I have a problem. I’m addicted to designing yo-yos. Specifically responsive mr85 ones.

I have too many ideas. So I’m gonna hold a poll and see which idea folks feel should be prototyped next. So that I can give priority to ideas people are into. I can’t promise this will guarantee it’s the next release after the Pocket Watch, Tardy, and Demons Fun, because setbacks happen and prototypes don’t always work out but I want to try to set some direction here because I have ADHD in case you couldn’t tell.
