I just got my Sherpa for Christmas and I love it - but even with the responsive bearing in it plays unresponsive. I don’t have any thick lube either any suggestions?
Most any household oil will work - sewing machine, fishing reel, gun oil. 3-in-1 oil works.

What Can I Use To Lube My Yoyo
Thanks a lot. Which oil do you think works best?
I like the Synco Super Lube, but in a pinch I use sewing machine oil or 3-in-1.
Kind of a odd response here, but try the full C bearing. When I got my Sherpa the thin bearing was completely 100% unresponsive. I put in the full C bearing and it was 100% responsive. Worked great once I did that. I prefer a heavily lubed full C to the half specs. About a week later I had to relube the bearing.
Evan Nagao used peanut butter.
Like… for serious? I heard some people put in a dab of chapstick to make their bearing more responsive, which at least kinda makes sense, it is a wax… but actual butter???
