So I wanna get the Aira yoyo confetti version made by gentry stein cause it looks dope tbh. Uhm obviously it has no place for finger spins but I don’t care about them so is it still a good yoyo with like good speed, stability etc?
As a capped, organic, super-light yo-yo, I would not expect it to have outstanding performance in general. It is intentionally designed to be a challenging yo-yo that rewards clean execution (and punishes poor technique).
I’ve never tried it, so I don’t how well it meets those design goals. Personally, I would only buy it if I wanted the play experience that it is trying to deliver.
Diameter - 54mm
Width - 48mm
Weight - 50g
I think Gentry’s video about it does a great job of explaining the specific use case for this particular yo-yo. It’s an interesting idea. Personally I use a duncan freehand for smoothing/perfecting the tricks I already know.
Im looking at the deviant and xenon too but I think I’ll just stick to my V12 for now as I’m only a beginner lol in unresponsive
It might still be a fun yo-yo, but I wouldn’t expect the Aira to be anything like the Deviant, Xenon or V12.
This is probably not stable because of the caps and the light weight
What price range are you looking for?
Its fun, but its really light, and the spin time definitely reflects that. Its surprisingly stable, but its so light its hard to feel feedback on the string from it, and ive struggled with longer combos.
If you want fun, go for it. If you want performance, get something else.
