The user Elizabeth K, I believe has scammed me out of $100+ I originally put up a LF post in the bst looking for a CLYW Borealis 2 - she messaged me and sent pictures of the yoyo - reverse image searched them and everything seemed legit - go to pay and am provided with an email of Andrea Fisher (obviously not Elizabeth K from the forum) when paying that email address on PayPal it says I’m paying a Svetlana Anisimova - again a third name - I’ve never bought off the bat before and sent the funds via PayPal friends and family transaction so I don’t think I can get this money back.
Will also state that she kept messaging me about shipping details and hopes of dropping the package off at the post office then day of or after the transaction - then has gone radio silent - if this changes and I recieve a package I’d be happy to remove this post but so far I have not been provided with any tracking information or if it has even shipped yet

Definitely avoid @Elizabeth they tried to reach out to me with false pics of what I was looking for (which could be reverse image searched), and then get really sketchy requiring me to F&F. I was thankfully able to refund but have had a friend on the forum also report to me that they were scammed by them.
yes! But they do also specifically stipulate that you forego any kind of protection if going with F&F so always be careful! I recommend only doing F&F after you have worked with someone and are comfortable together (or if they have a positive feedback thread with people you’ve dealt with before)
To be completely honest though, the extra protection is always worth it
Unless and this is important you know the person like if they are friends and or family lol….
But seriously I’ll g&s when in doubt but also have made enough friends here I trust certain people with my money enough I will send them whatever and not worry. It all depends though. When in doubt just do t do the transaction I’ve passed up plenty of stuff that was exactly what I wanted but felt sketchy
Yeah. This was my first ever purchase on the bst too. I’ve always lurked on these forums since I was a kid but never ever signed up for the forum until now
I’m so sorry that you’re dealing with this on your first BST. I hope you know that there are still a lot of good ones on here who care and look out for one another
Yeah, I’ve been looking at these forums for the past 15 years of my life I know there’s good people. This person had been on the forum for a year or so so I figured it was trust worthy but I guess not
Never do F&F even when the seller asks for it. That should be something you do of your own discretion, as long as you cover the amount I don’t see a problem unless I can really trust someone. Paypal pretty much exists to be the antiscam if you use G&S, specifically to help you if you got scammed, frauded, or never recieved your items.
As one of the most friendly easygoing people around, I still tell all my friends to never click links, even from trusted people. Yeah there will be times we do it anyways, but thats WITH people you trust and can immediately tell if they got hacked. If someone is insistant of going against the grain, maybe ask yourself why. Anyways. Keep yourselves safe online okay?
