Christian789 Is a scammer, no doubt - don't partipate in his BST threads

I’ve never been scammed on BST before. Here’s how it went. In late July (7/28) I purchased a listed Dark Magic 2 from him. Promptly, within a day or two, he said that was shipped and and some pretty convincing pictures of a labeled box at a post office (illegible at the angle taken). I have the paypal receipts and everything.

Throughout August I followed up again and again , asking if it was shipped, if there was a delay (I don’t care too much about a delay, just talk to me!) or just having him own up and say they lost the code or never had it in the first place.

I do not write negative reviews lightly but it has been well over a month, no contact, and so on.
If there is any other infomration I can provide to further legitimize tis claim please let me know.

Have a great day!
Sam

Hi Sam,

I’m sorry about your BST issue. I’d take your case up with PayPal immediately. Thank you for the heads up!

Odd that there’s three potential scammers on the board named Chris - Chris Brown, Chrisypoo and this one. Be careful out there folks!

Sucks for all the decent Christophers out there. I’m not one of them, but still.. As someone who does a lot of business through yye, I’ve been keeping my eye out for Chris brown or any versions of those names..

Mind the process with PP. Sometimes you have to escalate the issue (as @kawaii.kaede recently found out, and myself a few years ago) within seven or so days, but they won’t tell you that in your conversation when you first file. You may need to review the PP procedures/rules of engagement/ user agreement to see when that gets triggered. Good luck!

^ These are from this thread Avoid Chris Brown (@Kllyoslf )

I was too scammed by @Christian789 - Although I just buy the yoyo, for some reason he include his own address when he show me to make sure my address is correct for the yoyo he sell and ship to me. This could be to throw off trail, or his accident as an idiot

Mcallen TX

Chris Brown (@Kllyoslf ) and Chris Bais AKA Christian Barrera (@Christian789 ) have Texas in common in some way or another I guess. Worth to note of this maybe. Could somehow have some relation, could maybe not.

Regardless, the Chris name is forever tarnished. Thoughts and prayer for all the other Chris on this forum lol

@HiimSam just like FSYB say, make sure you escalate the claim after chat thing. Paypal F me and deny my G&S claim because I didn’t realize that I had to do this extra step - there is no instruction in Paypal to do this.

I had to change my claim type after it expire otherwise they do not re-instate the claim and they will give Christian all my money permanently. I’m still not even sure if they will accept the updated claim. I call them and spend 2 hours arguing yelling at managers over it ha ha. Might result in $160 for @Christian789 with no strikes or problems with his Paypal account.

@HiimSam make sure you read my thread about this person too! The link is click this

I bought a crucial from this guy and he was super prompt and fair. Its weird that he screwed other people. I’m sorry to hear it. I did get screwed by Positron though, so I guess I had to take some licks regardless.

I’m sorry you got licked by Positron, did you make a post? No one should feel like they ‘have to take their lumps’ on the BST. Keeping heat on these jokers, and not being embarrassed to say ‘I’ve been scammed’ in a timely manner are a couple ways we can work together to have a safe board.

With soooo many scammers in here recently I strongly want to suggest that everyone use g&s especially with new accounts and to post poor experiences almost immediately. I think the same scammer gets 2-3 people every time since people give the benefit of the doubt for like a month nowadays!

If the person is no contact for even 1 week post about it!!!

I cannot stress this enough in general G&S is treating the transaction as it should be a market sale not a gift. So the seller is held accountable and you won’t lose anything if the seller doesn’t pull through

I only use f&f with friends who if I don’t get a yoyo im okay with them having my money anyway.

I pretty much always use g&s, unless it’s someone with whom ive completed multiple deals with, or if it’s someone highly visible in the community that I feel safe shipping to. You know, the couple times I’ve been scammed, it’s cause I jumped at something quickly. Once I go back, and look at the ad/thread carefully, I end up palming my forehead going “how the heck could I of fell for that, look at this, it’s obvious”.

That’s not to say it’s something us as a community should have to cope with, it frickin sucks, it’s just a reminder to go with your gut. 9/10 Times it won’t steer ya wrong. Also, taking some time to look for feedback, or googling their handle takes only a few minutes, but can save ya hundred only dollars. What’s that saying? An ounce of prevention worth a pound of cure?

I don’t think so. Chris Brown seems to be from South Carolina.

Possible tie between Chrisypoo and Christian789…

Both have an IP address pointing to McAllen Texas from the same ISP, Charter Communications.

They also have similar email addresses
Christian789 peachmaster697@gmail.com
Chrisypoo peachboy697@gmail.com

Too much of a coincidence??
My guess is that these 2 are the same guy. But again, not Chris Brown.
