Rock Tumbler/ Stone Washing

Any thoughts on how to mask the inner cup?

Clean it with isopropyl and use silicon like on the seats?

3D print a cap to fit the cup?

 the silicone might be the best bet.

I’m def interested to see what the Alodine will do. Please post progress pics!

Halves are naked!

Finished a scuffed up and viby punchline. Swapped the axel and added bearing shims. Decided to polish the spikes and keep the exterior tumbled.

Smooth as butter, not a vibe on it! So cool to give it new life

Sweet! So good to hear. How does it do on arm and hand grinds with that tumbling it went through?

It grinds like a champ, equal to bead blasting for sure, even better if it was anodized but :man_shrugging:t3:.
Sucker has almost no surface resistance

12 hours later on the high grit and most of the rough surfaces have been rounded off with a few small ridges and imperfections remaining. The cylinder is filled with a metal and plastic sludge. Gonna give them another half day and then wash them and move to the finer grits.
