Revolutions

i get the motion and all that but when i swing my yoyo, the string doesn’t follow it very well like in andre’s vid

Make sure you move the yoyo fast enough, and make sure that your string tension is pretty good.

Keep the pich at all times. Most people tend to lose the pich during the swings and the loops just diapears. Als o to what Brian said, don’t swing to fast and have geood string tension.

Actually, the faster you can go, the easier it is. If you go too slow though, it won’t work very well.

Really? whEN i go fast I just lose control :stuck_out_tongue: but yeah have to agree with the too slow thing

When your going to release the string on your non throw hand start right away the motion

I would start with a medium speed and then figure out what speed is easier for you. also when you are putting your finger in the slack You need to do it on the swing that is on the outside, or the side that is not close to your body. This what I do and it always ends up in an one and a half mount.

An extra tip that looks cool after some practice: insert your finger the same way but quickly bring your non throw hand across over your throw hand then you can pop out like a kwijibo to a double or nothing ;D

I’d start out by pinching farther away from the yoyo. Then the loop you swing around will be smaller and easier to control.

try learning this one first.  It’s essentially easier and can get you started on learning REvolutions

Why does it look like the same thing? Oh wait. It is. It’s the front style version of revolutions. Just so you know…

Mr. Yo, how’s it coming?

yeah i started to get it a couple times, but not every time. also the yoyo starts to rotate while i am “revolving” it.
you get what i mean?

Keep the motion (and i know this sounds dumb, but when i learned the trick, i was swinging the wrong way), also start slow then accelerate slowly.
It also helps if there is good string tension.

I know what you mean, Mr. Yo.

What is happening is that while you are swinging it around, you are accidently having the yoyo too far to one side and the string is hitting the sides of the yoyo. Try to swing it closer to your arm and maybe even move your arm side to side so that this problem is lessened.

well the real main problem is that i am having trouble making sure the string continues following the yoyo. i can usually do about three then it falls off. i just need practice

I had the same problem. Get a good rythm down first. Experiment with different speeds until you find one where you can get the trick down rather comfortably. From there it’s just practice ;D ;D ;D
