I know some of my pads are worn,how do I really tell? ???
strings are kinda the same,I change when they look worn,dont want one to break and go thru the TV!
I pretty much play unresponsive(bad at it),I really like the spin tho.
I just play them till they will not let my yoyo bind at all anymore or if binds are slipping a lot more than usual.

You can usually see it visually.
Though it’s up to the player when is it ‘worn out’ enough. Some people only barely wear the pads before changing, some other keep using it to the point it becomes very thin or peel itself out.
