A bunch of my yoyo’s pads sort of melted or shrunk. It is pretty humid where I am, so is it because I had left the string on the bearing?
the humidity probably has something to do with it. do you leave them in an air-conditioned place?
No, I don’t
do you have an air-conditioned place you can put them?
Well, right now I’m not in the USA so I only have one place that has an AC but it needs to be cleaned.
ah, ok, i understand. are you usually in the US?
Maybe around half of the year.
honestly, if the pads get worse, try replacing one set of the pads, and see if it happens again.
Yeah, it was probably just because I had left the strings on the yoyos and it’s really humid where I am.
Also, thanks for the help!
my pleasure, glad i could help.
What type of pads are you talking about? Brands, material?
I wondered about this… for long term storage strings may be a bad idea?
You could try storing your yoyos in an airtight container with some silica gel packs.
I ate all my silica gel packs. I was hungry
I steep mine in hot water. Makes a zesty tea.
Also, when your told not to do something…
I just use the ones inside my yoyos when I buy them.
