What is the #UNWASTED Campaign?
The #UNWASTED Campaign is an initiative in which we purchase anodizing‑error units produced during the manufacturing process of the STEPROUND FULLSIZE and then offer them free of charge—either as loaner samples to beginners at practice sessions or as prizes at competitions—thereby creating new connections through yoyos. On the other hand, the cost of buying up these error units and covering shipping is considerable, so finding a way to fund this activity has been a key challenge.

Lucky Bag: UNDERSIZE Sample
In order to develop a D‑size × undersize yoyo—something we’ve never designed before—we first combined elements from existing models to create samples solely to explore the “optimal balance,” rather than as production prototypes. These samples were used exclusively for a closed internal test among team members. Because their likeness to prior products was high, we decided not to offer them for general sale; however, to help fund the #UNWASTED Campaign, we’re including the surplus samples from that closed test in a limited‑quantity Lucky Bag.

Our product stands as a timeless, no-frills option, respecting the classic yo-yo experience of “this is the one” or “it has to be this one,” while opening up new, more accessible choices for everyone—from beginners to seasoned enthusiasts.

UNBRANDED visualizes a yo-yo’s performance using four indicators: Spinning Force, Controllability, Stability, and Feel, allowing you to find the yo-yo that suits your personal taste. It’s important to note that higher numbers don’t necessarily mean better performance. For instance, a yo-yo that spins exceptionally well might feel a bit less maneuverable, and a smooth yo-yo might be perceived as having less spinning force. i’ve been wondering… is it intentional irony to have your brand be called “unbranded” yet have your branding engraved on your yoyo? seems a little silly to me when most other brands actually don’t have any branding on their yoyos

Thanks for pointing that out! We chose the name “Unbranded” on purpose—as a brand that denies branding. By engraving our logo, we’re playfully asking, “Is a logo really necessary?” We hope you enjoy this little paradox—what do you think?
