Rejection leading to string wear

Do rejections lead to excessive wear on the string. I figure that this might happen on yoyos with bead blasts and high walls but does this really happen?

hmmmm,

distinct psychological wounds to your yoyo, not sure.

There shouldn’t be any significant extra string wear unless the yoyo already has a string cutting finish.

Depends on the rejection really most do not however I find when I practice this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5NKBT4ny5Y&feature=youtube_gdata_player

my string wears faster because it’s rubbing along the response for it to happen.

Not really. I have never had problems with rejections wearing my string off. However, when I first got my yeti it was eating the string and such movements as rejections would wear out the string really quick and then the string would snap. But USUALLY this would not happen, although I would have to see what kind of rejection you are talking about.
