Mine was fine and no vibe but honestly I can’t say it really strikes me as an amazing throw. I take it out now and then, throw it a few times and I just can’t decide if I really like it or not. Not sure why but it just doesn’t seem like it was worth the money. I can think of dozens of other throws I’d probably like better.
Why the Sovereign if I may ask? and the Wooly Markmont? Just curious. Was it a matter of pricepoint or some other reason.
Because I fell in love with the BSP at the time. It was such an amazing throw. The class of it, the play of it…titanium. But I went overboard with multiples. I have an issue of buying multiples of yoyos for some reason.
More yoyos I regret buying:
THE YOYOJAM MATRIXX.
I loath this yoyo with all firey passion to this day and age. This was the very throw ( I had about…8 at the time too) that smacked me on the head and cracked my skull mid contest.
The original Yoyofactory blue 07 888.
I do not support in the now of 2012, I should of not given my money to them in 2007.
Cold Metal Minigor
It was from a new company based out of Russia and after seeing the shape I really wanted to give it a try. This was during the time the bapezilla and Dert came out and so OG shape/pad recess was really popular. So I gave this a try…to say the least it was so unsmooth it was ridiculous. It felt cheap in the hand but I so loved the shape so I dealt with it. But I do regret buying them. Later on Cold metal made other fine products though…
It was okay, but for $150, not worth it at all. Didn’t have a finish for grinding, not much spin time, etc.
Who cares if it was clyw’s first yo-yo. I want performance, not something that people consider “rare” even though there’s hundreds of them circulating throughout the world.
I’d actually rather through my Supernova any day over the Peak.
You just have to simply ask yourself “Would I be buying this if it wasn’t from clyw?” Trust me, asking yourself that question could save you hundreds of dollars.
The yuuksta just plain sucked and the place where the axle screwed into (not the axle itself) completly broke on my second day of having it.
Burnside was just unstable and it just didn’t fit me.
I love my skywalker and it is a great piece of yoyo history to have but if I am going on performance it is not worth 120 (the new run). I do regret paying that much but not getting the yoyo.
Could not have been said any better. It was a good throw, but not what I was looking for. I would pull it out, enjoy it for a handful of tricks, and then just get bored. I just traded it on monday for a Superstar and a Chaotic and they come in today, should be wonderful replacements.
