The RATs are still meeting the 3rd Saturday of each month at the Science Safari in Cary, NC, from 4 to 6.
Yoyologists, top throwers and jugglers welcome. Kendama players too I suppose
Good to know! Whats the age range of people that join? My son (11)is enthusiastic about yoyos and is getting quite advanced (speed/rail combos, developing a competitive routine) . He’s looking for a community and we’ll try to join the meetup in Feb.
Everyone is welcome. The age trend, oddly enough tends to skew to the older side, like college and above. We do get young people in sometimes though, and they usually learn something or teach us something.
It’s a very loose knit group, we don’t have any real club structure or goals or requirements… expectations, organization. Actually I would say it’s a pretty sorry club except for the fact we have been meeting for quite a few years and it’s a fun place to get together and throw yo-yos and other skill toys . There is also a wide range of skills with different yo-yo styles, spin tops, kendama, and juggling.
Thanks for the info! All sounds good and stuff my kid would like. We’ll try to get there in Feb.
