Question About Henrys Gecko Pads

I’m thinking about picking up a Henrys Python eventually, I’m not gonna pay $70 for a brand new one, but I may get one used in the future.

the yoyo uses Henrys Gecko Pads for response, I was wondering if you could replace them with Flowable Silicone?

i was under the impression you could use flowable on anything that takes silicone pads, is this not the case?

I believe most of the time this it true. However, I have heard people say that flowable can be an issue in Delrin sometimes since it won’t dry and bind to the plastic correctly, though I’ve never tried this myself.

Well, I’ve never used flowable silicone myself, I know nothing about it.

@Splizacular you can silicone anything with a groove, you’re correct.

@Jdrabik delrin has been no issue for me, i’ve siliconed many of them.

i gotcha and my experience is limited but it’s funny, when you dig out flowable it looks exactly like a pad just without the adhesive

If I had money, I’d be all over that–I blew all my money on Christmas. thanks for telling me about it! I would definitely be very glad to own one, just don’t want to pay full price for a brand new one.

Will do! Did you see that large classics collection go up? He seems like a nice guy and may work something with you. He stated he mainly just wants to see them get some love, more than looking for money or space. Don’t want to put words in their mouth tho, let me find the link.

I’m sure I could work something out, @Zippy8 seems like a nice guy, but I wouldn’t be able to pay for shipping. old stuff is totally my jam though.
