Well I saw an idea in here a while back and wanted to make one similar as I work with wood generally when my health wasn’t on the fritz. I still have a few things to add to it, and I’m going to stain and polyurethane it and make it nice n shiny. But this is what I’ve come up with so far, I will add photos as I finish it up. Bear in mind it was all made from scraps, so due to twisted boards and such I couldn’t get my 45’s as tight as I’d have liked to. Budget is 0$ atm so I’m just working with what I have around the house. First time I posted a topic, hope it’s not out of line, just didn’t know where else to feature it.

I used to make a lot of my furniture from wood scraps in my Queens NY apt. When I finally did have a gf, she wasn’t a fan of my carpentry skills. 
But it was all functional, got the job done.

I love building stuff, especially from leftovers and scraps, long been a hobby of mine! I try to use all useable pieces!
Didn’t have as much tinkering time today, but I did make and add the front rails, and gathered my staining materials today, will be a big update tomorrow, it’ll look much different once colored.

Had a little time today to work on the rack, been busy and feeling rough last couple days. Got the backer piece cut, sanded and added on, tried to pick the best grain pattern from what I had. Still want to make and install some trim around the top section, and install the wall mounting hardware before I do a final sanding and begin the pre-stain, stain and polyurethane. More to come as time, health and weather allows…

I dropped my skill saw on my ankle and it’s pretty swollen and hurts so didn’t work on it at all today, I am pretty clumsy like that sometimes.
