Any time someone is told to contact them off the forumns, my scam antenna perks up. You could follow through, but G&S PayPal all the way. Might be a waste of time though.

Scamming in the yoyo world is always so funny to me… like… you’re gonna put in a ton of time messaging people like this for days and days to maybe get someone to Paypal you a hundred bucks or so? I feel like you could set up a lemonade stand in a park and make more money per hour than this clown is… just go do that instead bro @oxenene

Good, that’s the correct response. This ‘talk to this other guy’ thing is part of a classic way to operate a scam:
- People known as ‘recruiters’ get paid to search for targets, dropping lines to them with the contact info of a ‘closer’.
- ‘Closers’ are the ones who actually extract the money from the you—usually as much as possible and as many times as possible until you have no money.
There are other ways to run a scam, but this type of setup is very common in various types of scams because it’s efficient.
I have bought yoyos from more than 30 people on here and a grand total of one person ever asked to move the conversation somewhere else; but it wasn’t straight away, and was only a request not a requirement.
Basically, if someone is contacting you just to move the conversation off-platform, then it’s definitely a healthy impulse to consider why that user might is on here in the first place. Especially so if they have no feedback from reputable BST users.

We’re watching this account. It was made over a year ago and has only 4 posts created. He’s been contacted and warned that off site offers are not allowed. Coincidentally, a new account with the same IP was created earlier today. They’ve been contacted. Waiting to for a reply.
