This guy messaged me wanting to pay any price for my demonite terrarian. When I told him I would gladly list it on eBay, he suggested that we do the deal through PayPal. Instant red flags went up.
PayPal g&s is safe? Right?
maybe trust your gut on this one
demonite is a type of rock
I would review the multiple threads about/by the user before you make a decision one way or the other. The threads will not be difficult to find.
“bought rocks but got a yoyo instead”
I would be outraged if I was expecting rocks and got a yoyo.
As a buyer eBay is another layer of protection. Of the seller is willing to eat the additional fees of using eBay then I’m all for it.
As a seller though I get folks that want to use PayPal and cut the middle man
Oh yeah, me too. I’ve done a dozen or so transactions on here through PayPal friends always a charm. It’s generally pretty easy to tell when someone is not a standard citizen.
Avoid this user he will claim damages and ask for a refund
I am confused by this. PayPal is not eBay. The buyer is offering to pay $200 with PayPal right now. Why would you need to list the yo-yo on eBay? That just adds another layer of cost for the buyer.
Send the buyer your PayPal email and he can send you $200 (plus 3% if you want him to pay the charges) for goods and services. Paying the 3% fee gives you PayPal’s protection which is invaluable for transactions with strangers. Make sure that when you send the item; you get tracking so you can prove the item has been shipped.
Sorry don’t have time to explain geezer
Was just trying to help the community. Boy, you guys are dramatic.
You must be real busy huh? No time to answer a question that I’m sure plenty people are curious about? Don’t put up a post about a scam and then say people are “dramatic” for asking questions.
Things are kinda testy today…
