popping

i’ve got trouble popping the yoyo up in those tricks that require popping…

kwijibo 2nd pop
pop n fresh
mondial
spirit bomb
etc…

tips?

For kwijibo, the popping motion is the same as the 1st pop.to land, make surewhen ur non throw hand uncrosses,ur finger hits the string

small pops, and alot of practice

Small pops. Too big pops will give the yoyo more time to mess up in the hard. You also have to aim for crossing and uncrossing your arms very quickly.I
Something I do do with my pops is instead of landing, i pull the strings apart which pulls the yoyo towads the string.

Blaze has the right idea. Make them small and quick, and pull the yo-yo down to the string instead of letting it fall onto the string and hoping it lands there. Also, for Mondial and Pop n Fresh (these ones were VERY tricky for me), keep in mind the popping motion is a jolt upward instead of outward as in Eli Hops, Spirit Bomb and Kwijibo. Unfortunately, all I can suggest is practice practice practice.

actually eli hops, kwijibo and spirit bomb all have upward pops.
The outward pop eli hop version is an eli hop variation, and outward pops are recomended tips when learning spirit bomb/kwijibo.

Maybe I just didn’t word it correctly (although I’m sort of confused myself at what you’re saying). It is true that the yo-yo pops upward in each of these tricks. But I’m talking about the actual motion with your hands, as in pulling your hands away from each other (outward) in order to quickly tighten up the string, causing a pop. In Mondial/Pop n Fresh, you can’t use this motion because it won’t work, and you must actually move your hands upward to achieve a pop.

Sorry if this was confusing. I wrote the other post during school trying to be sneaky 8)(so stoked to be on the last week of Calculus 2!)

Alright, I get what you’re saying and you’re right.
