So @rockstar just charged back deal we did 2 months ago. I thought he was a solid dude and the deal went smooth he received it and everything and now I just got a notification from PayPal saying he charged it back. I have documentation of the entire process receipts and all this is the first time I’ve dealt with this so any tips or info would be helpful. Also if anyone’s talked to him and if he’s done the same thing to you any help would be great. Idk why but it’s been scam central lately

How long has it been since you messaged him about the charge back and not gotten response?

Dude has been around forever so I hope it all turns out to be a misunderstanding and gets resolved

this is all just happening but I’m pretty heated and with all the scams happening it’s just got me really sketched out. I’ll wait for him to respond but I don’t see how you accidentally do a fraudulent charge back

I hear you, and I honestly have zero clue on any of the circumstances, but I’m willing to bet it ends up getting fixed sooner than later. The dude has been around since the yoyonation days and been nothing but reliable, so if you just messaged him, I imagine you will hear back soon and there will be resolution. As to how one could accidentally charge back? I dunno, but definitely try and reserve judgement till he hits you back as maybe it genuinely was some weird accident. On the human level, that sucks, and I’m sorry to hear it happened

As to how you could accidentally charge back I’ve had my card compromised a few times and had the bank go through and list dozens of charges from months asking me to verify each one and if I made it or not. Could be they didn’t recognize the charge or accidentally checked the box for it meaning to check a different fraudulent charge.

I know the situation has been handled but I’ve accidentally refunded the wrong person money before… Not the same as a charge back but could be the same reason.

So many people out here use very similar user names and emails and things get confusing sometimes.

It’s really great when you have a Mike Marshall and there are 550 million Mike Marshalls on PayPal with almost identical emails and user names.
