I went to send this to @Sgt1yoyo1 today and I got to the post office too late for New Year’s Eve hours. Feel bad I been taking too long to get it to the next person. Wanted to keep everyone up to date. I will have it out on Thursday for sure, tomorrow the post office is closed. I will write a review on it today or tomorrow also. Thanks everyone, sorry for the delay! I really enjoyed my time with it!

Just wanted to say I got the yoyo out to @Sgt1yoyo1 today. They said it’ll be there by this coming Tuesday. Gonna write a review tonight. Really enjoyed my time with the Parallel!

Got the yoyo this week and I’m going to do an unboxing and play test stream with it today at 5pm CST on my YouTube channel! Will likely do a full review at some point but my video backlog is getting larger and larger and editing takes so long but we will get to it!

Feel free to stop by the live here!

Just finished my first stream with the parallel and here are my quick initial thoughts!

  • It’s very zippy even though it feels very solid on the string. A very interesting combo that is reminiscent of the perpetual but not quite as extreme on the solid/powerful feel
  • It doesn’t “feel small”. It plays and feels like a normal sized yoyo in my opinion while having the perks of a smaller yoyo making chopsticks tricks easier and being more pocket friendly.
  • The parallel is very stable, making it great for practicing horizontal tricks despite it being slimmer and smaller diameter than most yoyos you’d use for horizontal.
  • Overall plays very well!
  • Still getting used to it. I’ve noticed for me that I have an adjustment phase with every motion I’ve tried where I’m not sure about it the first day or two but once I get used to it I really enjoy it. I have a hunch that’ll be the case with the parallel so stay tuned!
  • Haven’t had a chance to try the spin top hubs or 5a with this yet but I will at some point!

If you’re curious in seeing my live feedback on this (apologies for the technical difficulties at the beginning, I wasn’t paying attention and cut my hand opening the box so just skip ahead to 4:32 where it actually starts), check out the stream VOD!

Sorry I didn’t get a chance to attend this evening but your comments were spot on, and I feel like you truly grasp our vision at Motion. Solid, light playfeel, and aesthetically pleasing.

Thanks for doing this

Glad you got it Dan! Been looking forward to hearing your opinion. Your points are very similar to my thoughts as well. I was comparing it in my mind to alot of my undersized yoyos too. I still got to do my review. Sorry Im a slacker sometimes. @JEA86 will you be at Steel City Throwers?

I really wanted to film myself doing the trick Superman with it since it got the Superman colors. Now that I think about it besides it being small it kind of has some similar qualities of Superman hah.

I had planned to be - but the weather is not looking one bit hopeful  we are expecting another 6-8 in my area

Dang thats a bummer! They called for 4-6 inches here in Pittsburgh this past Monday and it didn’t hit us too much fortunately.

We have over 10 and counting everything has been closed all week basically

You are definitely in a place that gets larger amounts of snowfall. Stay safe.

Day 2 I tried out the parallel for 5a and it continues the trend of me preferring most motion yoyos for 5a  Something about the play and feel of motion yoyos just hits the spot when playing 5A idk what it is! In any case, the stability helps a lot for 5A and I feel like the weight distribution makes it pretty easy to manage the counterweight. I’m no 5A expert but feel free to check out my live candid feedback and play testing of the parallel (along with a bunch of trick requests) for 5A here!
