Edit… played the tyrant at lunch and i have to say this thing is great. Playes lighter then it looks, those rims give it more power then you think, love the organic float feel while still having a very stable feel moving through combos. Absolutely wonderful experience during lunch!
Also in the package was a TRT Bouy, a bunch of counterweights that look like Keith’s work and some other goodies. What is that white/black string (lower left in photo)? It was tricky to get the axle loop open.
The knurled barrels are nice. I didn’t expect that a 3D printer would be that clean. I can’t remember if you posted in the 3D thread, but is that a Bambu Labs print?
I have a Creality CR-6 SE. It’s an older model but it’s still got some life left in it. I’m at this point constantly on the fence about either upgrading parts or just upgrading to a Bambu (most likely, though I also like the Prusas but they are expensive).
Ok, worlds is around the corner and just so happens Lido will be going. If it’s cool with @Captrogers, @Lido can hang on to the Tyrant a bit longer and pass it around at Worlds. I think it’s a grand idea! But, we are ALL counting on you not to loose it at worlds. I know it can be crazy. But if all parties are down… it sounds cool to me!
Well, the tyrant and I made it back from worlds though a day late. Lots of people got to try it and surprisingly a lot of people knew what it was when they saw it and had tried it or even had one. I wish I took some video of everyone playing it, but there was so much happening. I also played it more in those four days than I had in the week or two before then. The stability and long spin really helped when people were trying to teach me. Anyway, thank you and this will be on its way to Branden probably today.
