This January 9, 2020 radio show “Energy-Report,” by Martin Webb is definitely worth sharing for some critical thinking.

Please give a listen…It’s an hour program so fast forward to time 20:30 listen to 34:45. (15-mins)

Although Webb is discussing energy consumption and pollution in our food supply chains and the logistics necessary for its’ distribution, yoyos could easily be substituted to articulate unnecessary manufacturing and excess packaging. Too many yoyos not enough hands, No sustainable packaging options. Minimize production & packaging!

I agree in general, but not specifically. The argument toward yoyos being anything nearly close to food supply chains is, at best, flawed.

Food production/distribution vs. yoyo production/distribution is like comparing the Hoover dam to that time you dug a hole and filled it with water. A run of yoyos is about 200. If they sell (demand) more are produced (supply). Not so with corn, rice, wheat, soy, etc.

And while I concur with the idea of less packaging, could you explain how that would look in the context of yoyos?
