Well… gotta start somewhere?
You going to PNWR?
Im trying to boss! Would love to be proven wrong once again haha.
Cool. Looking forward to hearing your critiques in person
I was always hoping to see a titanium Top Deck before a bimetal. Le sigh
For me it’s that I’m used to a lot of new stuff having wider rims than a couple years ago. When I got the Yoyorec Upheaval Ext I thought it looked odd.
Looks good to me. The shape isn’t similar to many existing One Drops, but it seems to be intended as a high performance bi-metal and I would say that it does have function-driven qualities in-line with that goal.
I’m not surprised (or disappointed) that it is tapped axle.
Love the grooves.
Isnt that a citizen?
I don’t believe so. The Citizen doesn’t look much like a Top Deck and came 9 months before it.
dude those grooves are the number two “one drop” features i was curious about before owning one, the first being se. after trying rebirth/boot, i friggin love those grooves! dunno why i like it so much but it feels and looks very kool
Agree, I like it. And I’ve always liked the view when designing for performance that if it doesn’t increase the performance then it’s not happening.
A yoyo is interesting in this way in that the whole thing spins so every change affects performance.
Curious question @da5id
Does performing a thermo fit give an advantage to being capable of having a much tighter fit, leading to a more durable yoyo, or just decrease the chances of having the parts warp during a press fit?
I’d imagine even if it’s the latter it could make a difference in how thin certain areas of the body could be designed.
Both
guess i’ve got an M2 in my future <3
It’s such a good yoyo
is it? that shape just makes me so hesitant to try it
I love it. I don’t do horizontal or DNA so I can’t speak to that, but for everything else it checks the boxes for me. And it fits in the pocket real nice
Just IMO, but the M2 is a must have OD.
Curious to know your reservation about the shape(?)
