One Drop Yo-Yos DownBeat

There is both brown and black. The brown has all of my want. I would mix halves it with pink, orange, or blue, too.

I’m feeling brown & orange…

no white and gold downbeat? No blue and black? or is it the same thing…

The racing stripes are a throw back to the lines used on the awesome funky and heavier muscle cars or vans of the 70’s.

Everyone meet Bart. He did the laser and box artwork for the DownBeat. He did an amazing job. Looking forward to working with him on future projects.

Thanks Bart!

I think that this freestyle would make you very happy. http://youtu.be/teb_PPc4wpg

Looking forward to this one. LOVE the brown.

Very heavy but looks nice.

I am loving that brown, it’s sounds like it’s going to be a hard one to get.

Yeah it does, seems everyone loves the idea

:o :o :o :o :o

I think I just the whole thing

I’ve been inspired by that

I’d be down to half swap someone who buys a purple, I’m gonna nab an orange, PM me if interested

Too much yoyo for me, but I love the design. I can appreciate that OD is willing to cater to a market niche, and venture a bit outside the “safe” range of specs.

It’s hard to fathom that 70G is heavy to most people, it’s only just slightly heavier than most H-Shapes with this D/W measurement.

I cant wait to see it in some splash colorways. I plan on getting one at some point fo sho.

I can only speak for myself, but I’m happiest at around 65g. That’s 5g more than my “happy place”. I have pushed my comfort level for throws like the El Ranchero and Nomad, but when 68g is “pushing it” an extra 2g is noticeable.

HOWEVER!!!

I have it on good authority from another 65g afficionado (our own mgiroux77) that this thing is AWESOME even for those of us who tend to prefer lighter throws…

So yeah… my interest is up, for sure.

I tried out some heavier throw and I definitely didn’t like them…
but this gives off such a chill and slow vibe that I like it… Plus the racing stripes are so cool, why didn’t anyone think of this before

It plays heavy for sure but does not feel to be 70 grams. I played it at yoyo school on Saturday for a good hour strait and felt no discomfort at all… I am impressed!!

I took the Weight Rings off my Skyhawk last night and put them on my Torque, to give this idea of a playing with more weight a try out. It was quite a different experience with the Weight Rings on, Magic Drops hitting more fluently and what not even.

I am so excited for this throw. It looks beautiful. The price is amazing. I typically love smaller, undersized throws but a nice, heavy full size throw can be a joy. It’s going to be great.
