Even without the Cascade in hand, I can almost guarantee that the Puffin 2 and Cascade do not play similarly. The Puffin 2 is relatively solid even though it’s not a brick. It is noticeably more solid than the original Puffin.
The Cascade has a long reputation for being a light-feeling yoyo.
You could wait for the Puffin 2, sure, but it’s definitely not a case of “one or the other” here, with the two yoyos being so different.
