I finished Pygmy by Chuck Palahniuk last night. Good book.
Now I’m reading The Devil All The Time by Donald Ray Pollock. He wrote Knockemstiff, an incredible collection of gritty, grimy stories about the grimy, gritty people of southern Ohio.
A lot of the characters in Pollock’s stories remind me of people I knew growing up. Family members, even.
