Official Brett Paints: GIGANTIC UPDATES PAGE 3

OMG. that Tye Dye Peak is to DYE for… haha… ha… oh, that was bad

Brett, You should jump back into the order-taking. I need me a painted yoyo

Hey Brett, so with the addiction you found a way to keep the laser engravings on the yoyo after painting? Looks very awesome regardless of what happened.

I’ll have to keep an eye on you  That would look insane on a Ronin

The spyy looks wickedly sick.

Again, could you do this to a phenom! :stuck_out_tongue:

My initial thought was that you were airbrusing the colors on, splattering a liquid mask on, paintimeng black over the mask, and then removing it. You have assured me before that this is NOT how you do it, so I’m confused as to how it could be done another way. Very impressive. Just don’t let this colorway take you over. I like your other stuff too! Just demand?

yeah I paint what people pay me to paint, and it gets updated in this thread.

Custom Painted Sunrise Shell General Yo Essence for Burnt_Goat.

This was a really cool yoyo as it had a story behind it, Lucas sent me very detailed info on something he holds true to his heart and that is the Hawaiian Sunrise Shells. These shells are incredible and have a great history google it. Lucas even sent me one to keep these are not cheap shells I am honored to display it on my desk.

Anyways Lucas wanted me to capture the beauty of the color these shells represent not only on the outside but also on the inside. We were going to originally due a texture on the whole thing but he gave me creative freedom, so only the inner cup was textured to pay homage to the shells texturel, while not distracting from the color explosion in the catch area.

I really enjoyed making this yoyo, it was fun to work on a project that had meaning to someone, Lucas you rock brother! Hope you like it.
