By no means am I disappointed with how I placed, but I wonder how many voted for Josh got simply because he is Josh.

I like to think I laid down what was needed, although I have learned much through this. I held back quite a bit the previous rounds trying to have ājust enoughā, but doing this almost cost me (I honestly think Alex G should have beat my previous round)
But in the end, I knew what I needed to bring, and I stepped it up.
There was no doubt.
Nice to have won, but I am happy to have the experience. And it felt nice, been a while since Iāve done one of these big battles. Keeps me motivated ya know ^ ^.
Thanks for holding this contest Alex F! Now to figure out what I even want, with my mentality of āthere are no good yoyos, only bad yoyos, and worse.ā I gotta see what trashy yoyo I can find huh. XD

Josh, youāre saying it yourself; I also thought it was clear you were holding back. Yet you still went through each round! Itās not that you didnāt have the potential (you are some sort of yoyo master that Iāll never even approach; a real world-class player!) but that your videos didnāt always seem to be better than some of the competitors.
I think that we both agree that the video that was meant to go against Sanchezās would have lost by a landslide. Not that it wasnāt good, but that it didnāt have the kind of voter appeal that was becoming obvious throughout the competition. You caught a lucky break that things got confused. 
But all the same, congratulations!
Congrats also to the runners-up who all put up an incredibly entertaining battle. And you know what? Congratulations to those who lost in earlier rounds; there was some stiff competition and it was really inspiring to see everyone āsign upā and share with us all.
And most importantly: HUMONGOUS ENORMOUS THANK YOUS to Alex Fairhurst for putting this all together. Truly amazing, man. You really did something extraordinary here, and I hope we get to see it happen again next year!

Very well done to all that competed, as well as to Alex for doing a sensational job of organising this. Next year Iām totally on it. =D
I personally feel that placeholder was robbed. He had the higher scoring tricks and the flow, but in the end it all just came down to politicsā¦

What would be awesome next year is if the votes couldnāt show up to people. That way the tension would be greater and itād be more of a surprise when the results were actually revealed. No idea how youād make it work though, maybe an independent website or somethingā¦
An interesting ideaā¦and I quite like it! But youād have to have a way to be authenticated. I wonder if the forum software has some sort of option to not instantly show poll resultsā¦ hmmā¦
That is actually an option when creating a Poll. So it can definitely happen.
