NMTBS means that the yoyo someone is selling is near mint to be seen,
Scales is an online yoyo contest held yearly
Near mint to be safe. The seller is essentially saying that they do not see any damage, but the yoyo has been played/ removed from the packaging. They are “being safe” by not saying the yoyo is in true mint condition

So when that have a throw like the kappa or monarch that they call a scales edition, what does it mean?

Meaning they collaborated with scales and producing special colorway edition for their yoyos
