New arrivals from UNPRLD - Nostalgia, ReCognition, & Reduction!

Nostalgia:

The Nostalgia is the signature model of Shuyun Tang. The inspiration behind the name Nostalgia was to emulate the feeling that we all have from favorite yo-yo memories. Fun times at contests, the grind working on freestyles, learning new tricks, and all around just having fun with yo-yo and those around it.

Modeled after the flashback, which was Shuyun’s competition choice prior, the Nostalgia sports a bi-metal construction with a larger width to increase the ease of landing tricks in different zones, which is something that Shuyun really focuses on. It’s also larger in diameter and slightly heavier, allowing for technical tricks to be executed with confidence. In addition, nostalgia is UNPRLD’s first bi-metal with a capped rim design, allowing for an extremely long spin time and a really powerful feel in play.

UNPRLD thinks the nostalgia is their most well-rounded product yet, and it certainly is a staple for any player looking for a yo-yo that will take their tricks to the next level!

Releasing 10/30 @ 9PM EDT.

ReCognition:

Colin Beckford has been a player at the center of pushing competitive yo-yoing through SCALES. He understands better than anyone the importance of the perfectly designed competition yo-yo. His first signature yo-yo the Cognition was primarily based on the UNPRLD Ignition with a more stretched out profile that increases trick execution capabilities and stability. Weighing in on the heavier side at 67 grams, the Cognition was bi-metal and powerful but intimidating to some given its weight. Taking what they learned UNPRLD is proud to introduce the update with the ReCognition - a monometal variant of the Cognition.

With ReCognition Colin and UNPRLD initially focused on reducing the weight of the Cognition design. Through various prototypes they found the perfect balance of agility, speed, and more importantly stability. Colin has always found stability to be the most important factor in executing and learning tricks. The final prototype has more rim weight than the first, and and a flat hub for fingerspin capabilities plus a clean and modern look.

Releasing 10/30 @ 9PM EDT.

Reduction:

The Reduction is something different from UNPRLD. This is the first 6061 aluminum mono-metal design and their roundest/simplest design to date.

It’s a simple design, but the feel in play is anything but simple. This mid-sized yo-yo has a comfortable feel in the hand and all the power and performance you would expect from a full sized design. It can speed through your fastest combos, weave through intricate tech, and handles off plane tricks with ease.

Releasing 10/30 @ 9PM EDT.

Reduction aside, UNPRLD really likes living in that wide+heavy corner of the market, don’t they…

Is the Reduction completely raw or does it have a clear ano?

I have a clear ReCog from last run. It has a clear coat. Maybe not the best for grinds but looks cool imo.
