I do something similar. It’s also fun to see how responsive a bearing can be while doing some of your tricks you can autopilot. It’s satisfying to squeeze out a trick or two on hard mode.
I want to thank everybody for helping me out and all the kindness and making the experience of finding more yo-yos enjoyable. I don’t usually join forums because people are just not nice in the world
But so far life these forums everybody seems to be pleasant and kind. And thanks for all the help on picking the two yo-yos that I got now. I’m still in the market to find a metal finger spin I really don’t want plastic and I’m sorry. I just have a fascination for the metal and I think from now on everything’s going to be metal from here on out I get it. Plastic has its benefits but I just don’t want it.
I’m also looking at maybe next month purchasing two or three more yo-yos I’m kind of addicted now. I’m looking for yo-yos that have really cool designs. Something unique. Something people really don’t have.
With the problem is with the yo-yos that I’m finding is everything’s kind of basic and bland basic colors blue, red, green pink purple you get it and the issue is is that I’m looking for yo-yos would like themes or sick designs something flashy.
And if you have any ideas throw them out there. If you have any yo-yos you think I would want throw it out there. I also get that. I’m a beginner. I’m new and I need a lot of practice but I’m still interested in buying more
G² has some unique looking stuff. Maybe give them a google
C3 and yoyofriends spring to mind as accessible brands with flashy finishes.
Edit to add: Sense
Edit again: Motion is releasing a new model soon and they usually have a couple very nice splash/wash options:
If your into crazy splashes, MonkeyfingeR does the craziest! MonkeyfingeR has its hard core fans, but I think it’s fair to say, that they’re not everyone’s cup of tea.
I checked the website and it seems to be they’re not selling much. Most of the pages come up with an error
Yeah, they do drops, but they sell out. Get on their mailing list and/or follow them on Discord, if your interested. Not sure what’s up with the website. Maybe they are working on it.
You should take a look at mowl
Maybe not the craziest colorways but defenitely the best engravings
It’s funny how people have different tastes. I’ve never bought a Mowl, because I really dislike their engravings.
Same here and the same is true for me and C3
i second mowl. love the engravings and for me it gives each yoyo a sort of personality. incorporating art with intent and using the yoyo like a canvas appeals to me. i also like the shapes and they play amazing which is of course the most important part
I was going to bring up C3 too. I’m much more into clean designs.
shrug Ask Andre
I do like some of their designs. I’ve actually been looking at them a little bit
i have an m from the second drop and they’re 67g. i like it a whole lot but im also curious about the new one thats a few grams lighter. i also have a second run heterogeneity and its a phenomenal throw. very comfy shape with a heap o power. ive heard good things about infiltrate, which is the sig of mowl’s embassador in Chicago, Eric Tranton, and iirc @GnarlyCharlie is a big fan of the obsession line. personally im deciding between the O+ or the Q next
The only issue that I find is a lot of their stuff on their website and on here is mainly all out of stock. Especially if you go to their website. There’s literally almost nothing in stock so it makes it hard to buy something when you don’t have stock of something. Unless you buy used on the marketplace and I’ll be honest and I’m a little skeptical of the marketplace. I get that you can look up feedback but I still have trust issues
Anything you do on the market place or bst should be done using PayPal goods and services that way everyone is covered against any potential loss.
@Thruwell has a Mowl for sale and he’s a real solid seller. I’ve bought from him. twice now. I think I’ve seen a few more Mowls running around from reputable sellers that I bought from before, but they weren’t really anything I was looking for so I forgot who was selling them.
