My YYF shutter bearing is stuck, need help removing

I’ve been trying to get the bearing out for 2hours already using a multitool but it won’t budge at all. I’ve watched every conceivable video on the internet on how to maintain and remove a bearing but nothing is working, I’m having the exact same problem on my Peregrine X, but I wan’t to make sure to be able to remove a bearing on YYF shutter before the Peregrine so I don’t accidentally damage it.
Any advice would help…

You can try to pop it in the freezer for 20-25 mins and that might help because the alu will shrink a bit faster than the ss bearing. I have not tried this method but have heard it work for others. The yyf bearing posts are insanely tight so know that it is the brand and not all yoyos are going to be like that. The peregrine will probably be more manageable. My advice is to just really force it hard one way and then the other and try to get a bit of space. The yyf multi tool doesnt have much leverage so it can be hard to apply enough force. You can use the end of the drill bit that fits as a bearing tool to get more leverage if you need it. Sorry yo good luck

okay thanks so much i put it in the freezer for a bit and it definitely helped, got someone stronger than me to try and after fiddling with it for five minutes they got it out. I also unshielded the bearing and I’m looking for somewhere selling lighter fluid near me, but no hardware stores have it.

Rubbing alcohol/ isopropyl will also work, but not as effectively. Also naphtha/ camping fuel

You can find some lighter fluid at Wally World

Walmart. Do you have Tesco? I understand they are somewhat similar to the idea of Walmart

91% isopropyl works well to clean bearings and is what I use. You can find it with the first aid supplies at any pharmacy store.

ok thanks

they should have acetone. i use that personally just make sure its 100% acetone from hardware not fingernail polish remover as that stuff has additives that will leave residue. 100% dries completely with no residue
