My Question for Gentry

Gentry,

I am an older brother who has a sister that has become interested in yoyos so I gave her one had have started to help teacher her. What suggestions do you have on 1) teaching newer players how to do more advanced tricks 2) advice on who to help them realize it takes a while to land new tricks and 3) how to help them not get frustrated with me as a teacher? Any help or advice would be very helpful!

Be patient and have fun while teaching her!

I probably often only focus on the goal while teaching and use that as the measure of success. It’s a good reminder that the fun and enjoyment should always be the focus and that with time everything else will fall into place.
