Yeah, it’s looking really nice!
I trust any man with at least one workbench made from an old door.

Are you planning on making this your combo of strat and Paul or are you just using this as a starting point to get you ready for the dream guitar?
Got one too.
Starting point. It’s not really a combo of a strat and les paul anyways, just has some of bot features. Body is hard to explain.
After sanding off the grain filler and adding another coat of sanding sealer;
After adding a coat of primer;
Nice!
super nice. love les pauls very quality guitars. Even got me motivated to play for a little bit. Yoyoing took all my time away from my playing
Umm, this is a Telecaster, but I like Les Pauls too.
Fancy it’s the les Paul explorastrat
I really like the cardboard.
Kind of, but I never cared for the explorer. I just randomly came up with that design.
It’s just to get a feel for the size of the thing, and to make sure I scaled it correctly.
Can you link me to where you got the kit? I’m interested in doing this.
Finished the frets. They have been leveled, crowned and lightly polished. To do today; Add nut, adjust nut and wipe the varnish on.
Cool what material is the neck?
Maple on maple, Gibson style truss rod.
cool ive always liked the look of a maple neck. My dads old strat has one and it is very pretty.
I finished clear coating the body. Now, to wait for it to cure so I can sand it smooth.
The neck is also almost complete. Just need to add one more coat of polyurathane.
Purple!
