If you got the red or gray yoyojam shims, if you overtighten the yoyo they may get caught in the bearing and kill the spin times. Otherwise, no, they won’t affect spin times. All they do is widen the gap.

thats probably your throw, make sure you throw strait and if your yoyo started tilting go into a trapeze and fix it
Trapeze is a big help, just remember if youthrew a sleeper and it tilts to the left let the string touch the right wall of the yoyo, correct me if I’m wrong.
