My finger can't breathe

How to tie a yo-yo in my finger correctly? My middle finger is turning blue and cold when I tie the strings.

Just take a few still shots of the string on your finger and post em up.

You sure don’t want to kill your middle finger.

If you tie it correctly, and still have an issue, put a band-aid on your finger where the loop goes. This is not usually necessary, but maybe it will help.

The Callous I’ve built up on my Index & middle finger from throwing is worse than ANY I’ve got in 15 years of manual labour:joy::joy::joy:

This week I legitimately had to take a break from throwing because the index callous was splitting :grimacing: (on a breakaway throw the string goes around and runs the index finger consistency enough to cause a callous and actually hurt lol)

So I’ve taken a special effort in doing a palm up breakaway throw , rather than a fingers facing forward grip -doorknoby throw

Thank you sir for the solution, but, even though I tie the string like that on my finger. After a while, it still become so much tight and when I throw the yoyo it freakin hurts + the impact of the returning yoyo since I’m just a beginner.

This is my least favorite product of throwing.

Also I have realized that the pointer finger on my throw hand is slightly but noticeably larger than my pointer finger on my other hand.

Hi.
Try to tie a knot on a third phalanx of your finger, closest to your palm. It is not common position, i think, but it may help.
And try a little less heavy yoyo, maybe it will help too, in combination with different knot position.

Try some yo-yo finger wrap !!! I find that after a long period of practice sometimes I need some of this stuff to help my fingers out especially with looping  but you can find this on YYT for only $4.99 and the best part is that it’s reusable too. you see it doesn’t have any adhesive on it rather it has like a Velcro design to it so it won’t fall off during practice and overall keep your fingers safe. hope this helped you guys out

You can use Coban as wrap too. Same stuff. Available at every drug store.

Is this how the string looks on your finger?
