Hey everyone,
I’m relocating my family from SF to Germany in June. We’ll be there at least 3 years.
Should I stock up on anything while I still have a US address?
What’s shipping and receiving like in Germany?
Thx! - Ted

I will give you the absolute best advice you could possibly receive in response to your question>
Contact Dave Geigle… a resident of Germany and Skill toys business owner(in Germany)
Dave knows his way around the Country and can give you very useful information.
I am German if you need any details PM me if you want.
Assuming you like your brand of string, that’s probably worth stocking up on, as you may have to pay $15 dollars to get it shipped over. (Of course, we have string in Europe. But maybe not your preferred brand.)
Thanks Kray! Bookmarked.
Thx yoyodoc!. I will. I’ve got a small but growing list of contacts from various points of view.
Great point jifarra. This is precisely the direction I was thinking when I started this thread. Sounds like additional shipping cost may be the most common difference in ‘procurement convenience’…
Time is the other thing. I don’t know about Germany, but post from the US to the UK at the moment is taking anything from 2 to 5 weeks at the moment. Hopefully that will pass when air travel gets moving again, it’s usually 1-2, but who knows when “normal” is coming back.
