I remember the first time I landed it cleanly. I guess it was the first “cool” trick I ever learned. It was funny, I was having a ton of trouble landing on just the outer string, but then the first time I landed it clean was with a YoYricks x YYF Atlas.
nice! By the end of last week, my Reverse Hook was still a mess. However, my whip to kamikaze is now on point
The first part I can do about 50% of the time. For me, spacing out the strings on the triple or nothing seems to be key for the first set of hops. The second part…well, when I figure something to help out, I will share my thoughts.
Nice job on the whip to kamikaze mount!!
Do you find it difficult to hop from double or nothing, to the trapeze + brother during the first part of the trick?
For some reason it’s the hardest of the hops for me to land.
Hi guys, just to post something about last week’s trick, here’s one trick I made with two -1hook. Looking forward to hit this week’s trick
Hi,
The double or nothing to brother isn’t a hop I am struggling with. However, I do a lot of hopping from Trapeze to the brother mount in my normal playing around. Right now, after trying it a few times, my advice is pop the yoyo a little higher than you think is a good idea and let it float while you line up the landing string. Don’t rush the hop.
Of course, that made no sense what-so-ever. I will try to post a video later today, when I change from my work from home PJs into my at home PJs…
Man black hops are tough!
Im in the exact opposite boat! I can hop back from triple or nothing pretty consistently but Im a ways off from getting the hops back after the dub mount
Here is a video that tries to show what I fumbled through explaining
Amazing!
Your insane! Very cool
Yep, that’s the hop I’m talking about!
Thanks for the video and the tips! I’ll try giving it some more hang time next time I’m practicing
I joked about conjuring spirits earlier…i have no other explanation for how i got this close on my first night practice. That and i filmed about 45 min worth of attempts just for this one.
Thanks Bro.
omg man!! Nice…freaking…work! haha wow dude!!
p.s.
looks like you’re all ready for Christmas with your green and (new) red glove! lol
That was insane progress!!! Awesome job dude!
Thanks. I need to smooth it out and repeat it…i only landed that once in an hour. So…
@twitch77 i got extra red and green gloves if you want tk match your N12
I think that’s all part of the process! It’s awesome you were able to hit it for your first time and cool as heck that you got it on camera to share!
I’m blindly hoping that consistency comes with time (time full of practice).
The Jack’s Slack into a Mexican Duck Pond I landed a couple of weeks ago was done at the end of a 45’ish minute practice session…it’s my favorite trick I’ve landed on camera…but I’ve only landed it a few times now. I bet in a couple of years I’ll have it down like it’s nothing and be able to look back and be proud of how far I’ve come.
At least these are my hopes! lol Consistency is part of my big goals.
I think I’ll take you up on the offer if you wouldn’t mind waiting till April (lol been a bit of a tough month financially for me).
Ey up folks. I’m back with another catch up video. I’ve not had the best of times recently with losing my job but I started a new one yesterday. I’m hoping that once things settle down I’ll be around a bit more. Kinda been in a bubble of nothingness for too long now due to the job stuff. I’m high risk for Covid 19 so that’s been worrying me a bunch too.
Apologies for the bad framing in the video. I am refilming it and have a bit of a plan for the new video.

That was me a couple of years ago when I learned Magic Trick. So pleased with myself for learning a trick that looked really cool. Now, it is one that I throw from pure muscle memory. If I can get to that point with a trick, anyone can do it.
Nice going sensei!!
