MoonageMin & Twitch's Trick-a-Week Challenge! (2020)

Double slipknot is the way to go. I don’t bother with a normal loop anymore and always go straight to making a double slipknot.

lol >.<’ damn
Are you using the bearing it came with, or one of your platinums?

Yeah same here…I swear by doubles.

After about 5 mins of trying it out…I totally agree! Thanks @twitch77 !

I’m using the bearing it came with, which is a DS. I’m actually not sure which type of DS, because it’s shielded unlike the aftermarket ones. So it’s either the 10 ball steel or a Plat.
It actually sounds a lot like the Plat—when they make noise at all—but I dunno. It spins good, other than on and off for 20 mins yesterday.

haha omg! SOOOOO close!!

How long is you’re string? Asking @ChrysaeThrows as well.
Mine is a bit over my belly button when it’s attached to my finger.
Still…it always seems like people have more string to work with then I do in a lot of tricks like this one.

Haha so so close! But this trick is fun so I dont mind doing it over and over

Ive found that the sweet spot for me is belly button plus 4 fingers.

Maaaaan that was really close!
@twitch77 when attached to my finger my string reaches my brestbone intake. 20cm over my bellybutton. Lol. I would say it is 1.3 m long. I’m 1.76 tall. No idea how much it is in inches :joy:

I might have to try this. I think it was you I said this to recently…but I’m really scared of throwing my yo into the ground with a string that’s too long lol

I would say, try with a plastic and get used to it. But I really like long strings, for sure the speed decreases and the yoyo generally feels heavier, but I feel I have more room for techy, wips and slack.

5"10 or 5"11 almost 6ft

Your string is 4’3” and you are 5’9”.

My slipknot

Mine slips all the time. I think a thicker string works or you can choke down on that middle finger a little bit with the loop.

Use a double slipknot. Twitch even made a video, above. There’s variations of it as well.
