I’ve made a little video of how I’ve been getting round it so I can practice the injection more and the mount less. It’s been my first session back at the gym today so i’m not exactly high on the brain power.

short string = from thumb to yoyo (short so it falls on the string in place

pinch = nth ring finger pinch the string over nth index finger so the proportions don’t change

chopstick mount hack

I’ve only just started on injections this week!

If you have more than 1 yoyos you may find that another yoyo may be easier for this trick.
It wasn’t a sarcastic question. Was a genuine advice that I read somewhere. IDK :expressionless:

Very nice  I really like the K’Edge though it feels a bit too big in my hand for my personal preferences.

Yeah sorry for the late reply, gap size and pad grippiness definitely help injections, also use a yo-yo with a response bump, also keep your bearing lubed. A Bearing yoyos are also really good, so if you have a Quail, use it, the slimmer the bearing, the better (C and D are the same width. Also remember to tilt the yo-yo a bit

Thank you @JWaugh for your injection tips for the guys here in the group.

@AKYOYOMIKE, So Jacob is a super talented young yoyo’er who incorporates a lot of injections into his cool tricks. So I think he’s the closest we can get to a resident expert on injections that’s also an active member on here.

I hope his tips help you and others improve on this week’s trick a week challenge and also give some credibility to my previous suggestion of trying a different yoyo, it wasn’t just them talking out of their orifice and a troll post

Good luck with completing the trick this week everyone.

Also just in case you guys haven’t seen this is what happens when it looks good.

Maybe @JWaugh you could add a video of your own here if you have one? The more videos the easier it is for people to learn

Also if you could expand a little on what you mean by a response bump and how much tilt you think is appropriate might help everyone understand your tips better
