I am planning on getting a mighty flea, I understand it will be crazy hard as I’m a newb and just learning binds, lol, but concerned about the purchase because I can’t find where to buy replacement bearings for it, does YoYoExpert not carry them? I mostly just want one for the novelty of it and seems like it would be cool to carry on the pocket.
Funny - we were just having a conversation with YoYoFactory about this. The bearing from the Loop 720 is actually the same bearing as what is in the Mighty Flea. We have a few on their way to us so we have them available for replacement (so no worries there).
Ok good stuff , thank you for the response!
Yeah - No problem! Mighty Flea is definitely a blast - super small but super fun.
Have you also checked out the Heist?
It is an amazing pocket yo-yo - not as small as the Mighty Flea - but still very undersized… To me it is the smallest yo-yo that plays like a normal yo-yo if that makes sense (the way it throws and binds).
Wow, I really like the specs! I’m gonna put that on my saving-up-for list. It looks really fun and the weight is great for the diameter.
How does the heist relate in size to the dv888? I was looking at that one the other day after searching for under sized yoyos, but it didn’t look like it could disappear in the pocket like a flea could.
I just looked up review videos of the heist and now I’m more tempted to buy that one, it looks substantially smaller than my dv888 and a better overall shape, maybe I’ll jist have to get both once I’m done Christmas shopping for all of my kids
I’m planning on buying a heist over the mighty flea because the heist uses standard parts; string, axle, bearing, etc.
You’ll never need to replace the bearing. Just saying.
Placing my Christmas order tonight, anybody have much experience with the heist and what string works really good for binding with it? I assume a fat string would be to much?
String Lab Type X, Normal Kitty, or even our standard Polyester string would work well with the Heist. You don’t want anything too thick since it’s a small bearing.
Thanks Garret, the information is much appreciated
