Okay folks I have a question. I had a blumi but I got to be honest that I didn’t like the colors even though it was nice and it felt good in my hands. It was just kind of wonky the colors and I’m not saying anything bad about you yoyo. I just did not like the yellow or blue coloring? I kind of look at yoyo’s as I kind of want like a theme or something cool looking or just colors that look nice.
I do not have an organic in my collection and I’ve been kind of really looking at organics mainly by Atmos because they have the spoils section which makes things a little bit cheaper. The shipping kind of sucks at $13 but these are what they have to offer
Gumball
Cloudberry
Cephes
Fruit loops es
Abel
Butterball
Now I’m wondering how many of you guys have thrown any of these organics? I’m definitely interested in other organics so if you want to throw something out there I want to have something ordered here as soon as possible. I’m just wondering what you guys think of the ones I listed above and which one do you like more than the others. I’m hearing a little bit of weirdness about the foot loops es some people like it some people don’t.
But I want to have an organic ordered by tomorrow. I know it’s all based on what I like and what I think is cool. I just want to know your guys’s thoughts on if you’ve used any of the organics above how you liked it
I met a guy on the forums here that lives in Rochester which is an hour from me and we’re going to be meeting soon and she’s possibly going to teach me some stuff you know. I really want to take it dead serious now especially that there’s two people local. Now that I can possibly meet up with and we can all learn from each other then I can definitely learn from them
I’ve thrown all except the Abel, and for me personally, Butterball is one of the best organics I’ve had in my hands as an all-arounder. Easily top 10, maybe even top 5.
To your other question, even outside of just organics, if I had to pick just one Atmos to hang on to, it would still be the Butterball.
That’s tough. Fruitloop ES is very fun. I throw it pretty much every day. That being said idk your skill level and if you want it for learning purposes it may be a bit frustrating due to its size and shape.
Butterball is a banger of an all arounder but honestly I can say the same for the Abel. Until recently the butterball was my #1 but the more I throw the Abel the more I realize I may actually prefer the Abel.
As much as I want to tell you to grab an Abel I do honestly think that for your first Atmos and first organic you should probably pick the Butterball. No one dislikes the thing and its their highest rated organic for a reason. The thing is awesome.
If you decide you love it and in a few months want to try some other stuff? I implore you to hunt down an Abel, Fruitloop ES and Goji
My skill level is absolutely terrible. I’m actually just starting to take it actually serious. Now I’m going to be meeting the guy that I met on here soon so I definitely need to step up my game. I definitely need to start learning my breakaways
An organic is a great thing to cut your teeth on. Its not forgiving like a lot of the more commonly used shapes. It’ll be more frustrating to use for tech stuff and crazy combos but it’s genuinely the best shape for when you want to BS and just have fun. Plus anything you can do on an organic becomes waaayyy easier on something like an H shaped bimetal.
I tend to practice any new elements on an organic and once I have it down I flip over to something a little more extreme to really fine tune it
Fruitloop ES is much fun, and performs better than you would think, and Gumball is good, but I would recommend the Butterball. I have some VERY good organic yoyos, and the Butterball is one of the very best. Do I like it better than my Construct and my Bathysphere? Maybe not, but I would have a hard time choosing. Also, I know you are looking at Atmos, but the D-bearing Recess Joyride is incredible, if it is currently in stock anywhere.
I got to be honest with you. I’m not trying to be rude that recess is ugly. I just don’t like the designs on them. I’m sure it’s a good yoyo but it’s just not for me. I’m definitely leaning towards the Butterball taro
No offense taken! Part of the reason that the Joyride is so great is it has the D-bearing magic. Organic or not, if you don’t have a D-bearing throw, you should try one sometime. They have a very unique feeling that makes a smaller throw feel much more powerful, somehow.
I dont like the gumball as much. The POM rims QC isnt great. Mine aren’t even close to flush and were like that straight out of the box. If you look around for run you’ll see multiple sales with issues with the rings. It throws well but feels fragile.
I agree about the rims but I love the gumball. So big and fun. One of my favorite oversized yoyos. That being said, I do think the butterball is more all-arounder and arguably the better yoyo but I enjoy the butterball more.
Definitely a hard choice. Butterball which it seems everyone loves. Abel or fruit loop es.
I do wish they had a pink in the Butterball. The fruit loop es and Abel both have a bubblegum but the Butterball has more of a purple. Just have to decide on which yoyo and color. Kind of wanted another pink to go with my knotcreators s2
Honestly, the differences are likely to be small enough that picking based solely on look/color would be justifiable. But I haven’t played either, this is just based on specs.
If u are learning complex/faster tricks or just starting out - cloud berry and abel is quite a bit more forgiving over the butterball. Cephas and fruitloop has a really nice ring when playing if u are into collecting.
The butterball has the classic bowl shape that most organic collectors like myself love but definitely not the yoyo I’ll pick to learn with.
